the location
Situated on the west side of Gorda Sound, its nearest neighbors are the islands of Virgin Gorda and Richard Branson’s Necker Island. Terrence B. Lettsome International Airport (EIS) in Tortola is a short 15 minute boat ride.
This 125-acre private island is now home to an exclusive collection of ultra-luxury estates available to rent for events, retreats, and vacations. These four distinctive estates were each designed and built for the personal use of their owners, therefore reflecting their distinct tastes, style, and luxury preferences.
Guests can book entire estates or a collection of estates for ultimate privacy. Accommodations range from poolside villas to cliffside cottages, each within three acres of lush private gardens. The Village, The Point, and Cape Stout estates each sleep 20–26 guests, while The Oasis can host up to 38 guests.
Shared amenities include a main Beach House with a pool, bar, and private dining spaces, two tennis courts, hiking trails, a fully equipped gym, and a water sports center with kayaks, paddleboards, snorkels, HobieCats, Flite Boards, Seabobs, and other non-motorized water equipment. All food and beverages are included in the nightly rate except select bottles of wine, along with three roundtrip airport transfers per group, ensuring a seamless and luxurious island experience.

the HISTORY
The group of people who lived here originally are the Taino. Their culture evolved in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands over a thousand year period. The Taino people were displaced in 1514 when the Spanish attacked and settled on the island. Evidence of European settlement of Moskito remains to this day, including the foundation of a residence above Lime Tree Bay which dates back to the 1700s.
In 2007, the island was bought by Sir Richard Branson and divided into 10 exclusive lots for sale. Moskito Island is now home to eight families, and four of these incredible estates are available for groups to enjoy.
